Is it a good idea to update FriendlyCore xenial with the "do-release-upgrade" command to Bionic for the NanoPi NEO Plus2 ?

I need some packages with a higher version and all are available on Bionic.

After several tests all my cards were bootable. I tested with a new card and it works.

Sorry for this post, Neo Plus 2 can boot on eMMC with non-bootable SD Card.

Thanks for your reply. But it's not the problem, i just want know if the Mac address is a random assignment or is a material address ? I think it's a random assignment because it's not the same address from the eflasher and eMMC image. And the first blocks of mac address is not assigned to a company...

When i start the Neo Plus2 with non-bootable SD card (Only one partition FAT32), it don't want start. (Only green LED ON)

Is it possible to start the Neo Plus2 with non-bootable SD card and it boot on th eMMC ? And when the SD card is bootable the Neo Plus2 start on it ?

Hello, How is the MAC address assigned for eth, wlan et BT? Is this a material address? If no, is it possible that several Neo Plus2 get the same address? (for 3 interfaces) I need unique id for my application and I thought to use the address mac, but if several Neo get the same address it will not ...
