Well I tried flashing the emmc on my som and it would seem that I have a dead som. I have message tech Support to no avail. I followed the wiki on friendly desktop and I now have a som that is not detected by either of my Windows computers and I am not Linux savvy enough 2 find if Linux detects it. ...
Trying to get my som to boot off the SD card the wiki still states press the boot button which the som does not have I have tried every button I could think of and none of it works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Next step is connecting it to my computer while I wait for a reply thanks
If your getting to 92c under normal usage that's impressive. Best thing I can offer is to add feet and raise that puppy of that flat surface. Also add a fan. If you are wanting to take your current install that is on your SD card and transfer to the emmc you could always try using DD and transferring everything that way.
Just treat the emmc like a standard SD card using the SD to emmc adapter. You can use at your on your Mac just fine. I use etcher on my windows Tower and my Mac and the emmc works just fine.
