I did not have the pin's to plug it in to my NanoPi NEO. But I order some from Jameco. Solder them in and play music and it sounds like speakers are in a can! Or some back grounds sounds are very low. Hardly can hear them. I think something is wrong with this NanoHat PCM5102A board. Is there a way c...
Wow it be neat if some low power server could run Plex media server . Can get a app on smart TV's and boxes, and cell phones to play video's on any device the server has to convert to format for what it's playing on. Any Linux could install on any Friendlyarm that could use the GPU in it to decode t...
I live in USA Michigan.

All the other orders I did came with the pin headers and I had to solder them in the NanoPi NEO and even the NanoPi Air.

-Raymond Day
Before when I got a NanoPi NEO it just auto came with all the pin headers and I could solder them in. But this time I really needed them because I got the NanoHat and can't plug it in with out them. But my order did not have them and looks like there is no way to even tell them to add that on to you...
I think I got it at this link. But looks like it's been updated from when I downloaded it. My download file is named nanopi-air-core-qte-sd4g-20161213.img.zip but now at that link they have nanopi-neo-ubuntu-core-gte-sd4g-20170220.img.zip I guess it's updated more. When I did a apt get update it di...
I got it working! Just had to do a: apt install squeezelite Then on the Max2Play under Audioplayer it said: Status: Squeezelite is running with processID 10006 I am playing songs now though the NanoHat PCM5102A card now. It's working real good. This on on the nanopi neo air . Wow took a long time no...
Wow it be neat to get this to work. But I just can't get the sound to play with Max2play. I can play mp3's on the command line and it works. But when I go to the Max2play webpage on my NanoPi NEO Air is says "Squeezelite not running" I can't get it to run because it can's see the NanoHat P...

Never got it to work with the eflasher 8GB image to flash it's self to the eMMC. So like I said in another post I used Gparted to edit the SD card and made partition 3 the one it puts on /mnt/sdcard to only 1.18GB in size to the end of that partition then made the main / or the rest of the size so 6...

I guess it wants you to install java and don't want to because it has problems with hacks. So can't download it. But not sure I can't read it.

-Raymond Day
I installed the "nanopi-air-eflasher-sd8g-20161213.img" on you can use the command: flash_eMMC.sh -d /mnt/sdcard/Ubuntu-Core-qte/ They should put that on the wiki then. All they have is eflasher then "select your wanted OS and type "yes to start flashing" But if you type it...
Now that I have mine working good with room on the 8GB eMMC can install things. I installed the apt install network-manager Took a wile to install all it needed. But it worked. It looks like you just hooked up the RS-232 lines up to that display is that right and it works like that? I guess have to have power to it too. They don't show it working with the NanoPi Air.

How do you wire it up?

-Raymond Day
I never seen it do "OS will automatically resize the file system" it don't look like it works. I can see what it does because I am using the RS-232. So it should show it doing resize the file system. I had to use a live GParted and then I made the 3RD partition small and the 2ND one made i...
What junk that they have it so it has no room left! I used my 128GB card and put it in a live Gparted and I decreased the 3rd partition so it made room for the 2nd partition. Now copying it to the eMMC now. Here is how it looks now. Ubuntu 15.10 FriendlyARM ttyS0 FriendlyARM login: root Password: La...
Don't know how to download it from that link. It's not in English!

So I can't update it will say this: Error writing to output file - write (28: No space left on device) It has 8GB of eMMC. Here is a df -h command to show it. root@FriendlyARM:~# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/root 886M 886M 0 100% / devtmpfs 168M 0 168M 0% /dev tmpfs 248M 0 2...
Used a DD command to copy the image to the eMMC so I had to start over. This time I found out what get's it on WiFi. The /etc/network/interfaces file. I just did a cp /etc/network/interfaces /etc/network/interfaces~ Then vi /etc/network/interfaces and clear it all out what they have in there and cop...

Thank you. On the 128GB it only was using like 4GB. I just could not expand it. I put the SD card in my other server and did parted command on it and made a new partition. Formatted it with Webmin. Then booted it back in the Nano Pi air. Mounted that partition to /media/tmp. Trying to copy the image...
I know it has 8GB on board eMMC but my NanoPi NEO Air will not boot with the SD card out of it. If I plug it in a LED goes on but stays on very dim. When I put the SD card in it boots but not sure if using the 128GB SD or it's 8GB eMMC. Here is some commands to show what I did to see all this. root@...

I installed the "nanopi-air-eflasher-sd8g-20161213.img" on a 32GB SD card. I thought I could then flash to the eMMC like this: Ubuntu 15.10 FriendlyARM ttyS0 FriendlyARM login: root Password: root@FriendlyARM:~# eflasher -bash: eflasher: command not found root@FriendlyARM:~# find / -name e...

On http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPi_NEO_Air they say this: Flash image to eMMC and they say do this command: eflasher I had to reload mine because I first put it on a 200GB SD card. But I guess it can't see it all. So I used that card on a raspberry pi. Used a 128GB on it now. Havin...
I forgot it had 8GB eMMC so I put a SD card on it with a image I downloaded. But I guess it don't boot from that but from the 8GB eMMC right?

Is there a way to get it to boot from the SD card?

-Raymond Day
I rebooted and it worked. Neat to see the camera on it.

Install phpsysinfo and it's neat to see the info of it. I copied the page.

I guess the only way to get it on WiFi is with a RS232 or maybe mount the image and edit the WiFi log in.

-Raymond Day
It says to do this: root@FriendlyARM:~/mjpg-streamer# make make: svnversion: Command not found gcc -D'SVN_REV=""' -O2 -DLINUX -D_GNU_SOURCE -Wall -c -o mjpg_streamer.o mjpg_streamer.c Cannot create temporary file in ./: Read-only file system <builtin>: recipe for target 'mjpg_streamer.o' f...
Got it all set up working good. Changed it's name to NanoPi-NEO because it had the same name as the other one I have friendlyarm.

It is a very nice little server box.

Order it on 8/15/2016 and got it today 9/2/2016. This time order it with a 3 amp 5 volt power supply and the case and heat sink. The case comes with the 4 screws. But one of mine the Philips head is messed up and I can't get a hold of it to screw it in. So only used 4 of the screws. Any one know wer...
Got the heat sink about a week ago and installed it and the screws that come with it can't use on the case! So I had to find my own and they are hard to find. They just fit in the holes like have to screw them in to it. To long too so I cut the rest off. I have to file them down yet. This is how it ...

Just took a chance and hope I would not mess up my NanoPi NEO. Used jumper wires and plug them in and got it the 1st time. Put a small SD card on the USB and it started to flash it's little LED so I was sure it worked. Did a Fdisk -l before and after and it sees it. Device Boot Start End Sectors Siz...
Not sure but maybe you need a better power supply.

Got mine now with a USB to RS232 on it and it booted up with the USB power on the RS232. I got plug in to a USB powered hub.

Here is a nice $10 2.5 amp at 5 volt power supply on Amazon.

I see Nano-Pi-NEO has 2 other USB ports the side one like real port.

2 USB-DP1 USB1 DP Signal
3 USB-DM1 USB1 DM Signal
4 USB-DP2 USB2 DP Signal
5 USB-DM2 USB2 DM Signal

If I hook them up to 2 USB plugs with the +5 and GRN will it work?

Or do I need some diodes on it or something?

To install Webmin have to download it then do: tar xzvf webmin-1.801.tar.gz cd webmin-1.801/ ./setup.sh It works like that. Got a lot of "Unable to locate package" But can just find them and wget and install them like phpsysinfo It's nice for how small it is. Runs good and putty fast. -Ray...
