Issues with Connecting NanoPi2 to PC Host via Serial Cable

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

When you connect your NanoPI2 to the PSU-ONECOM to PC via a serial cable please make sure the serial cable should be a crossover one other wise you will not be able to observe system messages on the PC's serial terminal.
I can observe the bootup messages but can not control the NanoPi2 from the PC serial terminal.

Just a guess ... should there be a ttySAC0 in /dev?

Thanks

Yes UART0 is "ttyAMA0",

We don't have UART1.

ttyAMA2 is for UART3 and
ttyAMA3 is for UART4
Could you explain how one can also "talk" to the NanoPi2 via the serial terminal?
Well, I was just reading through the mini2451 manual and it was describing the serial setup. Specifically, "data flow control OFF".

Yikes, my minicom had hardware control ON. Something changed when I wasn't looking.

Everything is OK now.
