RS232 Wiring and UART3 Enablement on Core4418

Hi everyone,
I'm working with the Core4418 (NanoPi2/CorePi) board and trying to bring up UART3 for RS232 communication. I am using the WIKI (https://wiki.friendlyelec.com/wiki/index.php/Core4418) and connected the UART3 pin using MAX232 board. But I dont see any data sent over RS232 when I connect a cable (RS232 to USB) on Ubuntu machine. Do I need to get into DTS and Pinmux to do simple RS232 communication?
Has anyone else enabled UART3 or other secondary UARTs (UART1–3) for RS232 on this platform?
Would appreciate any feedback, wiring examples, or gotchas from others who’ve done something similar.
Thanks!
Harpreet
