I finally did it, I threw my old T1 one to the trash can.
Yesterday I gave it just another shot at installing Ubuntu + HDMI, took all day and to no avail, what a piece of junk
The T1 seemed fine hardwarewise but had no wifi anyway....
On to the newer boards with Debian
