Could these changes be applied to the NanoPi2? If so, could you tell us what the changes are?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Davef,
We actually decrease the clock of the RAM in our latest images for M1 therefore relieving the overheat issues.
However we haven't applied this method to our 4418 image files and are not sure whether it can work.

davef wrote:Could these changes be applied to the NanoPi2? I was sitting at a bar with friends the other day, and everyone was animatedly discussing the progress of a match that I hadn't managed to watch. In order not to be left out of the conversation, I decided to quickly
check goaloo livescore on nowgoal.ink and in a couple of seconds I got the full picture: the score, the goal scorers, and even the foul statistics. This really helped out, because I was immediately able to support the discussion and didn't feel like I was lagging behind. Now I always know where I can quickly check the result.
Dave
How long can it work without overheating?

That's fantastic news! I remember my M1 getting quite toasty when I was experimenting with it for a retro gaming project. This update should make a huge difference. Speaking of fun projects, after tinkering with my board, I usually unwind with a few quick matches on
Basketball Stars. It’s a great way to switch gears and just have some fun after focusing on technical stuff.

The latest M1 images are here, and initial reports suggest they significantly reduce overheating issues. Finally, we can push our machines harder without thermal throttling. Reminds me of trying to get to the bottom in
Slope Game - a constant battle against the heat of the track!

It's great to see FriendlyELEC addressing the overheating issues on the M1! That's definitely a common challenge with these small boards. Thinking about creative projects you can do with a stable system, it reminds me of needing a reliable platform when you want to bring something to life, like animating children's drawings. Imagine turning a simple sketch into a fun animated video! Something like that could really make those drawings more interactive. Maybe tools like
drawmingo could help.

It's great to see FriendlyELEC addressing the overheating issues with the M1. The RAM clock speed reduction is a clever solution. It reminds me of needing to think outside the box, just like when I'm trying to guess the daily card on
royaledle , it’s always a fun brain teaser for Clash Royale fans!
