Like others here. I seem to be unable to leverage the GPIO ports with any of the linux distros for the Fire3. Specifically I am looking for support under FriendlyCore.
I did try the Python code since it is hinted Friendly has ported the GPIO library. It was not found when I attempted the basic script. Failed on "import".
What is the point of claiming GPIO compatibility if there is no software to use it.
I have also been trying to figure out how to cause the board to enter "sleep". It appears that the standard methods of using "systemctl suspend" or "pm-suspend" do cause momentary flash but system stays up.
