to get an idea of Linux gpio numbers to try for the 1x12 headers of my Nanopi Neo Neo v1.0 and Air:

Then I tested with many Linux gpio numbers and found these for pins 7-11:

The same Pin# - Linux gpio mapping exists for Nanopi Neo Air, just pin names/descriptions are different.
