Why is SD Card Size Limited to 128GB?

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Hi,

I'm does anyone have any ideas why there is a 128GB sd card size limit for the NanoPi Duo2 (or others)? The SDXC standard supports 2TB. Why stop at 128GB?
Or has anyone used a larger card than 128GB?

maybe because they only tested the Duo2 "only" with up to 128GB:

It seems like they would want their specs sheet to list the very best values they could and testing on a bigger card seems really easy all things considered.
