NanoPi NEO2, non locking uSD card socket

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Friendly Elec, don't start getting cheap on us. The new NEO2 I just received has a non locking uSD card socket.
I know RPI started doing this a while ago, and people like to follow in their footsteps.
don't try to save $0.01 by using a non locking uSD on your stuff. You will turn companies away from using your products because of it.

Look at it this way, vibration is an enemy. If a company needed to monitor or control something on say a CNC router and wanted to put this device on something like that I can tell you for certain that over time the uSD card will wiggle loose.

Do you got an old Neo2 with locking uSD-socket?

I have got 2 Neo2 which I did buy at differnet times and all 2 got an non-locking uSD-socket.
I dont like they because I had to use a tool to remove the card.
On a locking socket it ony a light press on the card will come out of the case.

Also the cheap OrangePi R1 hat a locking uSD-Card socket :)
