Using pinout USB

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Hello,

I have a NanoPi Neo 2 Plus and a FA-CAM202. I am trying to avoid a big clunky USB connector (size matters in my application), so I decided to cut the wires of the camera and attach them to 5v, GND, D+, and D-. I tried D+ and D- with both combinations of the green and white wire, and on both USB ports, but I cannot detect the camera, neither in my program or with lsusb. I am using friendlycore.

I have been searching for a solution, and ultimately decided to post here. Any ideas? Is putting the camera on that USB even possible?

Thanks!
I got it to work finally, not really sure how, I just installed stuff and rebooted and then it worked.
