NanoPi Air + CAM500B, VE Open Error

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

I'm using nanopi-neo-air_FriendlyCore-Xenial_3.4.39_20171102.img as is, without any apt-get update or upgrade, meaning
- drivers are provided by friendlycore.
- ffmpeg is the friendlycore customized version.

I followed the wiki page and run the following command

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -t 30 -f v4l2 -channel 0 -video_size 1280x720 -i /dev/video0 -pix_fmt nv12 -r 30 \
        -b:v 64k -c:v cedrus264 test.mp4

But I got error

Code: Select all

pi@NanoPi-NEO-Air:~$ ffmpeg -t 30 -f v4l2 -channel 0 -video_size 1280x720 -i /dev/video0 -pix_fmt nv12 -r 30 \

I'm not sure how VE is supported, as my lsmod returned the following.

Code: Select all

pi@NanoPi-NEO-Air:~$ lsmod

How should I get CAM500B working?
I managed to figure it out by myself. Actually it is permission issue.

The ffmpeg command needs to be run with root privilege. Either launching the command with root account, or launching with sudo should fix the problem.
