nanoPi Neo Plus2 WiFi driver which enables Monitor Mode

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

I need the possibility to use the integrated WiFi in Monitor Mode.
Unfortunately i wasn´t able to set the device to monitor mode.

i found out that the Ampak AP6212 used on the Neo Plus2 is in fact a Broadcom (BMC43430) WiFi Chip and a Broadcom Bluetooth Chip melted together to a single Chip.

For other BCM Chips theres an alternativ firmware called nexmon (https://github.com/seemoo-lab/nexmon) ut this is not working on Ampak devices.

Is it possible to get an updated driver/firmware or any other working solution to enable monitor mode?

If it is not possible (or only while using external USB Wifi Adapters) i think i have to throw my 20 nanoPi away, and i think i wuld not be pleased by doing so.

best regards.

I saw patches for this and add them to our DEV branch ... but never got a chance to test it.
