How to access NanoPi (Neo) via USB-OTG?

It is easy to configure Raspberry Pi Zero for USB-OTG access just over USB cable:

But I don't see /boot on NanoPi Neo, so how can USB-OTG access be enabled for NanoPi Neo?

Is "dtoverlay=dwc2" and "modules-load=dwc2,g_ether" needed for Neo/M1 USB-OTG?
If so, where to add that since Neo does not have /boot files cmdline.txt and config.txt as the Raspberry Pi Zero?

NanoPi （NEO）can use USB-OTG directly, When the external device’s power is greater than the MicroUSB’s the external device is charging the board otherwise the board powers the external device.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_On-The-Go allows the Neo/M1 in this case to act as a host. My question was what is needed to allow to "ssh" into Neo without ethernet connection just over the USB cable. Raspberry Pi Zero allows for that (just connect single micro USB cable, set USB connection on laptop network config as "shared connection" and "ssh" into Pi Zero).

So how can I ssh into NanoPi Neo (or M1) when only a micro USB cable is connected (for power and ssh)?
