It would be really helpful if the NanoPi Neo Plus 2 board included a power management chip and a battery connector. support for a 3.7vdc li-ion battery that both charged the battery and switched to battery power if the external 5vdc power is disconnected or fails. this would allow the board to continue to operate and provide an orderly shut-down while under battery power.
While external battery-backup boards are available, non are designed for the NanoPi Neo Plus2 board. Connecting an external board is possible, but adds significant physical hardware and cost.
Please consider as a future enhancement of the NanoPi Neo Plus2.
