NAS kit for NEO: RTC time resets on system reboot

I'm using NanoPi NEO with 1-bay NAS Kit v1.2 which has an RTC. I've installed a cr2032 button cell in it. But when system reboots, the RTC reverts to 1970-01-01 00:00:00. Basically it isn't saving the datetime at all. How to make it save the datetime?
