Getting Max2Play to work on it with the Matrix - NanoHat PCM

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

I got the Matrix - NanoHat PCM5102A for my NanoPi NEO Air. Installed Max2play on it and I can go to it's web page but can't start the player.

I can play a mp3 on the command line and it works looks like this:

root@air:~# madplay /media/Nintendo\ -\ Dire\,\ Dire\ Docks.mp3
MPEG Audio Decoder 0.15.2 (beta) - Copyright (C) 2000-2004 Robert Leslie et al.
Title: Dire, Dire Docks
Artist: Nintendo
Album: Super Mario 64
Track: 9
Genre: Soundtrack
7126 frames decoded (0:03:06.1), -0.8 dB peak amplitude, 0 clipped samples
root@air:~#

This my help in the debug of the Max2play is shows this:

I got it working!

Just had to do a:

apt install squeezelite

Then on the Max2Play under Audioplayer it said:

Status: Squeezelite is running with processID 10006

I am playing songs now though the NanoHat PCM5102A card now. It's working real good.

This on on the nanopi neo air.

Wow took a long time no one else could help!

Nice work, Where do i find the max2play installer? Just see the SD card image on the website
I think I got it at this link.

But looks like it's been updated from when I downloaded it. My download file is named nanopi-air-core-qte-sd4g-20161213.img.zip but now at that link they have nanopi-neo-ubuntu-core-gte-sd4g-20170220.img.zip I guess it's updated more. When I did a apt get update it did a lot on mine.

Did this a wile ago now. Mines been running real good with Max2Play and the audio hat.

O the max2play installer.

I ported here

Easy to do. I have not tested this out on a new install yet. But I am all most sure it will work.
