Good afternoom everyone, how are you?. I'm looking for how to operate the board via serial terminal because otherwise I need a screen and a keyboard and that is not possible for me every time, I mean:

1) As soon as I start the board it send notifications through the serial port?.

2) The commands that I use are the same as if I'm using the linux console.

3) Its possible to do a ssh session through the serial port?.

I need all the help here so thanks in advance for all the help you can give me.

1 & 2 = YES
3 = NO

when the board does start it will - like any Pi Board - send startup-messages (boot) to the serial port (ttyS0).
After the boot-messages you will get a login-prompt.
After login you could use the normal commands like on a SSH-session, but because you are DIRECTLY connected to the system there is no secure-layer between you and the board like on a SSH-session (you only have to login via the right user/password combination)

Hi Guidol! Thank you so much for your answer. Now I have another question, How can I change the debug port to the usb otg port?. As you can see, I'm kind of new with linux.

that wouldnt be easy
On a Raspberry Pi you could use the otg-port as normal network port like eth0 (not serial).
You could appy a network-adress and ssh into that port:

BUT I dont know how to do this on a NanoPi because there is no config.txt to configure - and I think anyboy would say that has to be compiled into the kernel

Why would you use the otg-port and not the normal debug port? Or any other serial port (via gpio-pins) or another serial-port via a USB2serial converter?

Hi Guidol!

The reason is because right now I don't have the usb to TTL converter with, I will build it with a max232 SMD that I have and a usb to RS232 converter but to the weekend, the other and most important reason is comfort, If its possible to communicate through the same port where I charge the device, like the pi, then is much better.

In the other hand, this subject is treated in the following post but I have to research more to understand what is there, in that post
