RetroPie on NanoPi K2 / Ubuntu Core?

I got myself a NanoPi K2 a few months go and now that I have no more use for it, I'm thinking of trying to install Retropie on it. I installed Ubuntu Core on the K2, and now I'm going to try to have Retropie working in there.
Question is, anyone ever tried to install it on that hardware and/or Ubuntu Core ?
If anyone's wondering, the NanoPi K2 is a cool device, it has the same physical layout at a Raspberry Pi 3, so it fits in all the popular cases, but it's got higher specs (quad 1.5Ghz and 2GB of RAM). I'm hoping the N64 could run a bit faster on this one, if at all.
Any comment/advice is welcome!
