64GB microSD Card

The image provided was made for an 8GB card. The remaining 2.25GB gets used up really fast. Does anyone know how to get the Android 5.1.1 to recognize the remaining 50+GB of unallocated space to be used or recognized somehow? I've tried a few different partition tools with no success. Sorry I am pretty new to this, so any help is very much appreciated.
