I am having trouble connecting the on board wifi. I have attached an aerial and can see the access point using
sudo nmcli dev wifi

I follow the instructions on the wiki but it does not connect

My USB wifi dongle works great.

Access point has no security.

Anyone else got it working or any ideas?
Thanks.
N.

Mine worked fine out of the box.
I followed the instruction under "Wireless Connection" here and there were no issues.

I have the same problem
USB dongle RTL8723BU works great and give me both WiFi and BT connectivity but onboard card XR819 fails .
My AP has no security protocol like WEP or WPA , just has mac filtering and I have update the access list to
support my Duo board but no connection. Even I check the AP log , no connect request is received to the AP
from XR819 , but dmesg tells 3 timeout occurred !

update :
XR819 with the prepared kernel 4.11.2 can not connect to non-secure APs. just password protected APs accessible !
