I have recently purchased a NanoPi R4S, wishing to use it as an OpenWRT router for my home network.

I live in an area that has frequent power outages and would like the router to automatically turn itself back on when the power is restored (the same as a cheapo consumer router with a clicky power button would).

Unfortunately, when the power to the USB-C power adapter is lost and subsequently restored very shortly after (as happens here sometimes), the device does not power itself back on. The only place I’ve seen anyone mention this behaviour is this Armbian forums post, where people seem to be saying there's not a lot you can do about it.

This makes the device in its current state rather unusable for me. I was wondering what I might be able to do to get around it? I understand nothing of electronics, and was wondering if there might be some sort of off-the-shelf power supply solution that is able to, for example, introduce a 15-second delay before starting to supply power to the device?
