3rd ROM and eMMC Flashing

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Is it possible to flash a 16GB eMMC on a Nanopi M4 with the 3rd ROM version of OpenMeidaVault or Armbian? I am new to SBC devices, so I hope this is not too basic a question. I was not able to find anything on the current boards. Eventually, my goal is to test (play around with) running a linux environment for education purposes with multiple apps running an Ubuntu with Raid1: Docker Swarm; Nginx/letsencrypt/certbot; Nextcloud; and Django-CMS; Thanks,

What exactly do you mean with 3rd ROM version?
You can run the OS'es from an eMMC. For the Friendly OS'es you can use the eflasher images. First flash that to an sd-card.
Put the sd-card in the T4, and start. It then will install the OS onto the eMMC.
With armbian you should be able to do this with : sudo armbian-config
And there something like copy to eMMC.
OpenMediaVault you can also install in armbian with armbian-config -> softy -> software -> install omv.

I hope that helps, greetings.
