Safe temp?

Hi

Were wondering what is a safe temperature to run the NanoM4 @ for long periods of time?

With the large heatsink, running CPU at 100% for many hours, it creeps up to 70 degrees without a fan.

This seems high to us to run for long periods of time

Whats the design temp?

Thanks!
David

I'm not speaking for the NanoPi M4 specifically, but 70 degrees is generally a safe temperature for a single board computer. For example, the raspberry pi starts underclocking itself at 85 degrees, and gets damaged at 90 degrees.

When it comes to the NanoPi M4, I have run it for more than a week on 100% cpu (about 65-70 degrees) without any side effects. If you plan on overclocking, or keeping it in a warm environment, you could consider a fan.
