I am also interested in this question.

All FreeBSD/NetBSD/OpenBSD systems support the RK3399 SoC,
but not one of them has a ready-made bootable SD card image for FriendlyElec SBC`s.

I tried writing source code patches, and I have
It turned out to collect boot images for T4/M4/NEO4.

But unfortunately, I don’t have any of these boards yet,
and I can’t verify that my images work.

If you agree to test them, I can send you
a link to download the image for any of them.

I’ve been able to launch via u-boot on an SD card and see that the T4 responds via UART-TTL @1.5mb 8N1, but when I’ve tried loading NetBSD or openBSD via the FA to EMMC, it always shows up as raw file rather than an image.

If you’ve got images that can be flashed (and include the partition text) I would be interested in trying those. I would also be interested in testing any that u-boot and can later be added to the EMMC via dd or nand-sata-installer equivalent like Armenian uses...

Unfortunately I can’t provide your reliable working image.
I used an image from gonbold@freebsd.org.
https://people.freebsd.org/~ganbold/freebsd13-nanopc-t4.img.xz
And installed it on eMMC.
Let it be for now.

I do not have my own bootloader, which could start with eMMC so far only SD CARD.

Ethernet works only on 1Gbps
USB 2.0 - OK
USB 3.0 - OK
NVMe - OK
