I liked the new arrival of the new SOM-RK3399v2 with more RAM,
but I discovered that the USB-C connector for 5V power supply is shorted to the power in pins on the SODIMM connections (which is labeld 12V in the wiki)(schematic page 14). If the module is powered thorugh the SODIMM connection the supply voltage will the comming out of the 5v USB-C in connection. Anything that is plugged into that connecter could get destroyed.
In the erlier version there was a protection curcuit (schematic page 13) in place that did not allow power to be put out by the "USB-C 5V In" connection. This is missing in this version.
The fact that there are two USB-C conectors present that behave totally differently, and one might even destroy your equipment is a really bad design flaw in this version.
