I was looking into the onboard WiFi module when I started fresh on Armbian Buster 5.4.43. Module brcmfmac is loaded but seems like it could not connect to my 5GHz band no matter how I tried to limit in NetworkManager (2.4GHz band works properly however). I then switched to FriendlyCore on legacy kernel 4.4 and everything works fine with bcmdhd. I thought brcmfmac is taking over bcmdhd on latest upstream (am I using the right terminology?) so maybe something is missing in my set up -- country code for example.
I wonder if this is fixable, and I'm not sure which WiFi/Bluetooth firmware I am supposed to load on this chip. Does anyone know where I can find the module device ID?
