M4v2 eMMC boot issue

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Hi all,

I have an M4v2 that I'm using as a simple utility server -- it has an M.2 hat+drive, and I recently purchased an eMMC adapter and module. However, I can't seem to get my M4 to boot from the eMMC and I feel like I'm missing something; I tried using the dd utility to write an OS image to the eMMC and removing the SD card, but it does not boot from it. Has anybody had any luck with this?
Rockchip SoCs always have eMMC as a boot priority. So, to boot from SDCard, you need to stop U-Boot from eMMC by pressing <spacebar> several times during startup. Then, at the U-Boot command line, you can type "setenv devnum 1" followed by "run mmc_boot", it will then boot from SD.
