FriendlyCore 20.04 (Focal)

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Dear FriendlyElec Team & Community,
I wonder whether the development of FriendlyCore 20.04 (Focal Fossa) for NanoPC-T4 is underway?

Your wiki, download area and website refers to 18.04 (Bionic), no indication for Focal yet.
Same question, can someone from friendly elec team please reply

Almost all FA boards

Thank you I know about armbian... but the support and compatibility is not the same as with a specific image including all available peripherals.

Its not the same true, its probably better. Hardware wise and also on userland level.

Legacy kernel is the same:

Modern exists and is somewhere better, somewhere worse than legacy kernel.

Perhaps some displays are not supported OOB, but its not much work since kernel is the same, just build differently with more 3rd party stuff such as wireless drivers, WG, ... Multimedia features are supported with addon - if needed.

Regular updates and support.
