NanoPi M4: Enable UART2 on 40-pin header?

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Looking at the NanoPi M4 schematic and the RK3399 TRM, it appears possible to connect UART2 to pins 8 and 10 of the 40-pin Raspberry Pi style connector on the NanoPi M4. Is there any reason I cannot enable the uart2b_xfer io-mux mode and enable the UART2 device in DTS to connect UART2 to the 40-pin header pins? Are there any other changes needed in the kernel or OS image to support this use case?
I tried doing what I described above, but the system fails to boot when I enable UART2 and select the uart2b mux option. Any suggestions?
