nanopi r2s - default LED lights behaviour

Greetings,
My nanopi R2S worked for flawlessly for a week, with the red LED light heartbeat blinking as usual. After a week, my R2S stopped responding remotely and I noticed an irregular blinking pattern - the heartbeats were extremely fast. After a power cycle the device worked as usual. To debug this issue and prevent it from repeating, I'm trying to find out what this pattern means.
Is there documentation regarding the different LED lights behaviours?
