Hello, I recently got a Neo3 and I noticed that the npi-config is not available in the provided core download. Will it be added in the future?

I am appalled by the lack of support for this product... The software side of NanoPi seems to be totally up in the air. Not a board for makers. Ok only if you want to use an already made software. Forget about using UARTs other than the debug serial, GPS with PPS... no documentation, no support...
