cifs utils missing and no package available to download

I would like to mount external shared drives on my nanopiR2s running friendly openwrt. could not find cifs mount or any available packages to install. It is available on openwrt packages but it appears that it is removed from friendly openwrt. Any plans to add it back, or there is a reason to not include it

You can manually compile and install CIFS from the OpenWRT source code if you’re comfortable with this process.
You can rebuild OpenWRT yourself with the necessary packages or try installing it manually from source. FriendlyWRT may have removed some packages for size or security optimization. If you are unsure, check with the FriendlyWRT developers for more details.
