Upgrade From OpenWRT to FriendlyWRT 21.02

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Hello friends,
I am new here.
Got a new R5S a few weeks back and I instantly fell in love with this amazing device.
The hardware & form-factor is a piece of art.

Coming to the topic, I was able to install OpenWRT and everything is working.
Then I realised what I need is my own FriendlyWrt 21.02 build, so that I can package my own applications.
I followed the build steps : https://wiki.friendlyelec.com/wiki/inde ... riendlywrt
It went smooth, no errors whatsoever, thank you for the perfect manual.

Question:
What is the simplest way to install the image I got?
I already have ssh access, so can I skip the need of imaging and booting from TF card?
Could I just do "sysupgrade" or "dd"?

Thank you.

Yes, you can use sysupgrade — and that's generally the safest and simplest way if your image is compatible.
