Hi Folks,

I see that R5S can take usbc PD 5/9/12V via USBC port. I just wonder if I can hook this directly to 12v source (not PD source)? I just use adapter to inject 12v to usbc port. I don't want to take risk by trying.

You'd need to know the correct amperage to connect to the USB-C port. Probably not wise to do that and just get a USB-C charger for powering the device. There's many USB-C chargers you can get that will work for quite cheap.
