Internal WiFi?

Hello!
I'm interested in trying the r5s as a travel router with an internal WiFi module. It seems this option may have been planned as there is an antenna mounting hole in the case.
I anticipate that an adapter from M.2 M to A/E key may be required, or even M.2 M to mini PCIe, in order to create a suitable interface for WiFi modules.
Is there any advice or experience on these approaches and recommended WiFi modules?
Is there likely to be a future revision of the r5s with WiFi incorporated?
