"Login incorrect" Alpine Linux on R5C

The eflasher download for Alpine does nothing. The SD image boots and gives a login prompt. I used root/blank, root/toor, root/*, but I just get the error message and another login prompt. Has anyone gotten Alpine working on R5C?
