AP mode with multiple SSIDs on RTL8822CE

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

Hi,

I've just started using R5C with the M.2 WiFi module RTL8822CE and overall things work well, however I'm unable to start the second WiFi network (like a GuestWiFi). One WiFi network works well, however once I add a second one in LuCI both SSIDs get marked as "disabled" and also none of the two can be seen by wireless devices. Once I disable one of the SSIDs the other one starts to work.

Is there a configuration option that I'm currently missing? Or is it that RTL8822CE does not support multiple SSIDs in the AP mode? I am running FriendlyWRT 23 with the preinstalled kernel 6.1.25

In LuCI, go to `Network` -> `Wireless`. You should see your physical Wi-Fi device. Both your main SSID and your Guest SSID should be listed on this same physical wireless network. If they somehow try to use separate wireless interfaces, that could be a problem.
