hello all,
i have an Nano Pi R5s and installed FriendlyWRT because i have some expieriences with OpenWRT. FriendlyWRT that i use is based on OpenWRT 23.05 but it still uses the opkg package-manager. In the official OpenWRT-Release, the package manager was replaced with the one from alpine linux (apk) in i think November 2024. With the change of the package manager, all update-server were switched off and it's impossible to install packages with opkg.
Had anyone a solution to install apk on FriendlyWRT?

How is this progressing?

Does rk3568-sd-friendlywrt-24.10-docker-20250228.img.gz support the apk package manager?

I'd like to update sometime, but don't want to break everything.

Hey! I’m in a similar situation with my Nano Pi R5s. I noticed FriendlyWRT still sticks with opkg, which is frustrating since OpenWRT moved to apk and disabled the old servers. I haven’t found a clean way to switch to apk on FriendlyWRT yet. Some say you could build a custom image with Alpine’s tools, but that’s a bit advanced. If anyone has a step-by-step or workaround, I’d love to hear it too.
