Last year i bought a CM3588 board along with a 12V 2A power supply. I set it up and installed 2 NVMEs. Last week when i powered it on it doesn't boot. The only things i see are the red power LED, The SYS LED on the processor that constantly blinks and the LED1 and LED2 along with NVMEs' LEDs that blink for a moment. After that nothing. Only the SYS (that blinks) and power LED are on. I removed the processor and installed it again but i have the same issue, i measured the voltage of the power supply and it is 12 volt .

Any help is much appreciated.

Exact same problem here. After rebooting the board I only get a blinking cursor on the top left corner after the friendlyelec logo. Same led lights. Inserting the installation sd seems to do nothing,. Help is much appreciated!

Smilar problem. Ordered a new CB3588 Plus and new out of box, it won't power on. Have tried two power supplies with no change. I have no led's and the fan I installed doesn't run. I have tried with all 4 drives, just 1 drive and all drives removed. Same issue. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Well, I faced similar issue today after editing the '/etc/fstab' and '/etc/crypttab' files from the eMMC drive embedded with the CPU, after setting up LUKS on the NVME SSDs.

I solved the problem by putting Debian Desktop image on a uSDCard to boot from it and finally be able to edit (comment out everything I added, at first) and things were Okay after powering off + removing the uSDCard + Powering On again.

This bad situation highlighted 2 major flows:
- SSH connection refused after reboot until things got sorted out with '/etc/fstab' and '/etc/crypttab'.
- Debug Terminal is Not usable at all: Garbage received, whatever settings I tried.

@CM3588_Developers:
I guess that some workaround can be done about SSH and FS mount readiness order during th boot sequence.
I also guess that there could be something done about the Debug Serial to get it working at 115200-8-N-1.

HP

Some suggestions:

How many Amperes (Amps / A) is your power adapter supposed to deliver ?
Recommended is 12Vdc 2A =>> 24 Watts power adapter.

Check the polarity an also inner diameter of the barrel jack.
If you have a multimeter, check that the voltage is also correct.

I had the same symptoms about LEDs and blinking cursor in top left corner of a black screen after a brief apearance of the FriendlyElec logo on the screen at reboot time.

Please, read my first message above to learn how I ixed my problem. ;-)
