Hi!
I'm very happy with my T6 LTS, running Ubuntu. I installed the official image (https://wiki.friendlyelec.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPC-T6#Work_with_Ubuntu_24.04_.28Noble.29_Desktop) on eMMC, so it's using overlayFS.
I'm keeping it up-to-date with classic apt commands.
As the install image has been recently updated, I'm wondering how I could update my T6 "firmware".
I can see 3 ways, but can't figure out the best one:
- just install an updated kernel image: https://wiki.friendlyelec.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPC-T6#Install_the_kernel-image_package
- use RKDevTool to flash everything but the userdata partition: https://wiki.friendlyelec.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPC-T6#Step_3:_Install_image_to_eMMC
- use eFlasher with a modified image, excluding userdata format: https://wiki.friendlyelec.com/wiki/index.php/EFlasher
I have everything needed at hand (Windows PC, bunch of 32GB SDCards, USB disk for backups, ...).
If someone have any inputs or thoughts about this update, I'll be very grateful. Thanks!
