Just bought a new board, installed 4 SSD, loaded the OMV img to an SSD to flasher the eMMC. Connected the board to power and HDMI and the only thing I get is the lights for SSD 2 and 3 flash green three times and go out. Nothing else happens.

I press the power button and this process repeats.

I don't see any information on what this means. The board came with no documentation.

Any ideas?

It sounds like the board is not booting properly from the SSD with the OMV image, and the LED flashing pattern you're seeing (SSD 2 and 3 flash green three times and then turn off) may indicate a boot failure or that the image isn't compatible or correctly written.

Did you have a look at this older thread about the (apparently) same issue:
CM3588 Doesn't power on

I shared my very own experience and what worked for me to fix the problem.
You may have the same problem, else, it could inspire you to figure out the issue.

About the RK3588 onboard eMMC, to "flash" it you need to prepare a uSDCard (micro SDCard).
I have Not read (yet) anywhere about doing it from one of those 4 NVME slots, so far.
