Change Boot Order

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

I've got a backed up version of a Ubuntu OS already pre-installed on a USB. I can't seem to find anything online about where BIOs / Boot settings are stored. Would it be possible to access the boot menu and boot from USB?
Yes, you can usually access the boot menu by pressing a specific key during startup—commonly F12, Esc, F10, or Del, depending on your computer’s manufacturer—and from there, you can select your USB device to boot into the pre-installed Ubuntu OS.
I am assuming you have a CM3588 board? I have the same problem. There doesn't seem to be a way to boot a basic OS directly from USB, to attend to other issues that may be on the nvMe storage. Mine is a problem of forgotten password, both for the admin and the root users and with over 7Tb of stored photos, I can't afford to lose it!

If anybody can point me in the right direction to resetting these passwords, I'd be extremely grateful.
