Change Boot Device

Moderators: chensy, FATechsupport

I was booting Armbian off the eMMC but I want to now boot off SD card. How do I change the boot device? I put an SD card in with bootable OS but with just an SD card in, the NanoPi just flashes the green LED.

Thanks

T4 has a button which you need to hold to force booting from SD card. Button shorts clock for eMMC, which has priority over SD card, and prevent booting from it. If you want to boot from SD card, while eMMC is present you need to find a way to "cripple" eMMC at start ...
Sorry, my fault. I forgot to say I have an M4. Thanks again.

OK. Sadly we haven't found this hack for M4 yet :(
So, once you have started booting from eMMC there is no way to boot from SD card?
Take the emmc module out and it should revert to the sdcard
That was my thinking too. But the problem I had, is that whilst I get a blinking green LED... and having tried Armbian and FriendlyDesktop I get no HDMI output though it looks like it has booted.
